NZ singer Lorde has topped the US Billboard chart with the song "Royals". Not bad going for a 16 year old kid from lil' ol' New Zealand. Joel Little co-wrote and produced the song. Update: Royals has now been at the top of the Billboard 100 for seven straight weeks, and is the cover story on this weeks Billboard magazine.

SKB have just introduced the world's first amplified pedal board. It has a 5W amplifier and 6" speaker built in. It's main feature, of course, is that it is a world first. Other notable features are...um...I dunno...I mean you are going to need a proper amp for gigging, and if you use this for practice how do you get used to your stage setup? Maybe I'm missing something here, but I'm not sure there is a point to this invention.
The nice people at Rane have put together this list of how to write technical words and abbreviations that we deal with in audio engineering. For example: MIDI is all caps. If you don't know your acrynom from your elbow, you can find help here.

The KVR Audio site is the place to go to search for plugins. They have a good database where you can search selectively. There are over 7000 plugins listed, so using the advanced search is essential.
This online equipment supplier has a bad reputation. There have been numerous complaints of non-delivery and no communication. They are also identified as parallel importing brands illegally. They have changed trading names more than once. Several legitimate suppliers have issued a warning. Let the buyer beware.
