How quickly our priorities can change. On Saturday morning at 4:35 am a 7.1 earthquake hit here (Christchurch, NZ). Thankfully few people were injured due to the time it occurred, but there was major damage to roads and buildings. The CBD is still cordoned off as many of the old brick buildings have collapsed. Our house was not damaged, although a garden wall collapsed. The power went off at the time of the quake and remained off until mid afternoon. Water mains were burst and we got the water back on Sunday evening. Monday now, and we are still having aftershocks (there have been dozens of them, giving us sleepless nights - quite a few are over 5.0). Anyway we thank God that we are all safe.
