Other avenues of funding are:
NZ On Air. Funding for broadcasting. The Making Tracks programme has changed and now funds singles and music videos (either suitable for commercial or alternative broadcast).
Creative NZ. Arts funding. For music, it is mainly focused on live performance.
NZ Music Commission. Mainly focused on Outward Sound programme (to get international recognition for NZ music).
Te Mangai Paho. Funding for Maori broadcasting. Music projects must contain at least 70% Te Reo.
Most of these funds are grants and most are contestable. One thing is for sure - if you don't apply you will not get one.
