I was at a product demo yesterday, and the star of the show was the Soundcraft Si Compact digital desk for livesound. Plenty of eye candy (including colour-coded fader lights), but more importantly the touchscreen has been put to one side to make way for a control section with real knobs. This makes it easy to control all the channel gate, compressor, and EQ settings. $12,000 for the 24 channel version. Here is the brochure:
