What should have been a great night out at the NZ Music Awards was a bit spoiled by the poor sound. Oceania, take note. Throughout the night several of NZs top acts performed but there were times when the FOH mix was not right. This was a big show, with great lighting (the LED panels are impressive), so a good big sound was required. Sadly, it was loud and at time quite harsh. Afterwards everyone stayed on to chat, but we all had to roar to try to have a conversation above the DJ levels. I shouted myself hoarse, and had no voice for days.
